The Aged One was the last living member of a mysterious ancient race. Since the decline of his civilization, he became a hermit in the Underground Realm of the Gnomes. He waited for the Enlightened One to arrive and slay the Dragon Wyrm. The Aged One explained his predicament to Connor when the two met, but the adventurer assumed the Enlightened One would be someone else. Later, Connor killed the Dragon Wyrm and discovered the Chamber of Enlightenment. With that fulfilled, the Aged One was rejuvenated to his youthful self before departing this life for the Spirit-World of Ancient Souls.
Some theorize that he may have been the Prophet Hector.

The Aged One is a character from King's Quest: Mask of Eternity, although he is not listed in the game's credits.
